Nancy Do, BSN, RN

Nancy Do, BSN, RN, stands as a trailblazer in her family, achieving the significant milestone of becoming the first-generation college student by earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University in August 2022.

Since May 2023, Nancy has excelled as an Operating Room Nurse at Boston Children's Hospital, seamlessly handling both circulating and scrub roles. Her adeptness in assessments, interventions, and fostering effective communication within healthcare teams is evident in her daily practice. Noteworthy is her pivotal role in initiating and leading the Discovery Adventure program, an innovative initiative exposing children and teens to the multifaceted world of healthcare through engaging activities, such as virtual reality training and an airway lab experience.

Demonstrating her commitment to comprehensive care, Nancy has actively engaged in advocacy efforts. She collaborated with AORN Government Affairs to champion surgical smoke legislation, involving meetings with legislators and delivering compelling committee testimony on 9/20/2023.

Nancy's story is one of resilience and determination, with her family's immigration from Vietnam adding a profound layer to her achievements. Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, she actively contributes to her community through volunteer service, showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact within and beyond the healthcare realm.
