Emily authored the revisions to the AORN Guideline for surgical smoke safety and the AORN Guideline for prevention of venous thromboembolism.
Zach Swartz, MHI, BSN, RN, CNOR
Perioperative Practice Specialist
Zach Swartz is a Perioperative Practice Specialist at AORN and is updating the Guideline for Pneumatic Tourniquet Safety. He contributes to the AORN Nurse Consult Line and Clinical Issues column, and authors the AORN Journal Back to Basics 2.0 column.
