Brenda is an accomplished Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 20 years of advanced practice experience. She has led evidence-based practice improvement projects in health systems, which have improved patient outcomes and perioperative nursing practice.

Munro has been a perioperative nurse for over 26 years and is a practice expert with emphasis on pressure injury prevention. She is a Nurse Scientist at Stanford Health Care, CA. She also received the 2023 AORN Excellence in Periop Nursing Award.

As an Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist with a specialty preparation in perioperative nursing, Romito is committed to advancing patient advocacy and improved outcomes through evidence-based practice and nursing professionalism.

Van Wicklin’s exhaustive collection of scholarly work as an author, researcher, and presenter reflects her ongoing contribution to conducting perioperative research and translating research findings into recommendations for evidence-based practice.

David A. Wyatt

PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR, FAORN, FAAN

Wyatt served as AORN President, 2020-2021. He led the Board of Directors & staff to respond to the COVID19 pandemic & initiated the Comprehensive DEI plan. In 2015 he received the AORN Award for Excellence in Perioperative Nursing.

Katherine Halverson-Carpenter

Halverson-Carpenter’s administrative leadership impacted patient safety and team reliability in research and evidence-based practice. Educational products were developed at AORN under her leadership and refinement of the PNDS as PNDS Task Force chair.

As an internationally educated nurse, the essence of Peneza's professional practice is to continue creating meaningful global collaborations while enhancing nursing practice through innovative education and transformational leadership.

Jennifer (Zinn) Fencl

DNP, RN, CNS, CNOR, FAORN

Fencl is known for translating evidence into clinical practice through research and QI projects. She adds to the body of perioperative nursing knowledge through dissemination. She has published and presented perioperative nursing topics globally.

Terri Goodman

PhD, RN, CNOR, FAORN

Goodman was instrumental in the transition to electronic communication for both chapters and National AORN. In 2002, she created the first chapter website so leaders of the newly formed eChapter could communicate, and an email database to engage members.
