Kristen Denis, MSN, RN, CNOR, TNCC, MSLO
Kristen Denis MSN, RN, CNOR, TNCC, MSLO is a perioperative nursing professional development practitioner. She has experience in all phases of perioperative nursing including OR, preop, postop, OB, nursing program manager, and interventional radiology. She has also taught Periop 101 programs. Ms. Denis will share her extensive knowledge of evidence-based perioperative practices and test-taking strategies with attendees.
Antonia (Toni) Hughes, MA, BSN, RN, CNOR
Perioperative nursing expert with over 35 years of experience in clinical and administrative roles, including 10 years in perioperative education. She was the Recommended Practices Advisory Board Chairperson (2013-2014), a member of AORN's Guidelines Advisory Board (2014-2015), and is a current Periop 101 Educator (2015-Present).
Ellice Mellinger, MS, BSN, RN, CNOR
Ellice Mellinger, MS, BSN, RN, CNOR is a Senior Perioperative Education Specialist for AORN, Inc. in Denver, Colorado and has over 35 years of perioperative nursing experience. She is involved with educational program planning and development and is a nurse lead for a variety of educational initiatives. Her past clinical nursing roles include clinical educator of perioperative services, OR Charge RN, OR staff RN, and medical-surgical staff RN.
Katherine J. Donahoe, M.Ed., BSN, RN, CNOR
Katherine J. Donahoe, M.Ed., BSN, RN, CNOR is a clinical educator and instructional designer. Her roles have included clinical educator for perioperative services, manager for continuing nursing education in the medical device industry, and craniomaxillofacial education development manager.
Dr. Rebecca Vortman, DNP, RN, CNOR
Rebecca Vortman, DNP, RN, CNOR is a perioperative nursing expert with over 8 years of experience. She is currently working as a clinical assistant professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois. Her roles include manager of clinical education, Periop 101 instructor, OR clinical case coordinator, and OR staff RN. Dr. Vortman will share her knowledge of evidence-based perioperative practices with the attendees.

Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) is accredited as a provided with distinction of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
AORN is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13019. Check with your state board of nursing for acceptability of education sessions for re-licensure.
The Prep for CNOR Live program and Prep for CNOR Online program are designed strictly to be used as review and preparation for the CNOR® exam. CNOR® is a registered trademark of the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI). All rights reserved. CCI administers the CNOR® exam. Candidates for the CNOR® exam must meet the eligibility requirements as defined by CCI.
AORN may cancel the event based on low registration (a minimum of 20 registrations are required 30 days before the scheduled event), lack of Facility preparation,or any other reason AORN deems appropriate in its sole discretion. AORN will communicate with the AORN Ambassador for Prep for CNOR (ie, Key Contact for the facility) the number of registered attendees.
In the event of cancellation, AORN will not reimburse airfare or hotel accommodation expenses incurred by registered attendees.
