THE CONTENT AND MATERIALS IN THE AORN GUIDELINES FOR PERIOPERATIVE PRACTICE AND EGUIDELINES PLUS (TOGETHER, THE “GUIDELINES”), AND ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THEREWITH, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ARE COPYRIGHTED AND OWNED BY AORN, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. BY ACCESSING THE GUIDELINES, YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING TO THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT, YOU MUST DECLINE TO ACCESS THESE MATERIALS.
Grant of License
This content is supplied as a licensed product. Subject to the terms of your Order Form and Invoice with AORN and the provisions contained herein, AORN grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to the materials supplied herewith (the “Product”). Your licensed rights to the Product are limited to the following:
(a) This license agreement does not convey to you an interest in or to the Product, but only a limited right of use revocable in accordance with the terms of this license agreement;
(b) Concurrent or multiple location use of the Product on more than one computer or location site is only permissible if you have purchased such a license. Access beyond the concurrency or location sites permitted in your Order Form is strictly prohibited;
(c) Distribution within your institution of printed versions of the Product (including screen shots, templates and power points) is permitted for internal educational and non-commercial purposes only. All other reproduction, transmission, and/or distribution of this content in any form or by any means without prior written permission from AORN is strictly forbidden;
(d) You acknowledge and agree that the Product is proprietary to AORN and is protected under U.S. copyright law and international copyright treaties. You further acknowledge and agree that all right, title and interest in and to the Product, including all intellectual property rights, are and shall remain with AORN;
(e) Use of the Product, or any part of the Product, as training data for an artificial intelligence system, or as input to an artificial intelligence system, or as an output of an artificial intelligence system, is strictly prohibited; and
(f) Permission for re-use of materials and content in the Product may be sought directly from AORN by contacting the Publications Department by email ([email protected]) or by fax 1-303-750-3441.
You acknowledge that the Product is proprietary to AORN, and contains information which derives independent economic value from not being generally known to or readily ascertainable by proper means by persons who could obtain economic value from its disclosure or use. Accordingly, you agree that you will treat the Product as confidential, and will protect its confidentiality using no less than reasonable care.
