The included Administrator Course provides the knowledge necessary for successful course implementation and administration. Administrators will learn the role and responsibilities of course administrators, preceptors, and learners.

An overview of course components and requirements are also included, along with instructions for running progress reports, managing your facility agreement, and inviting learners.

Course Details:

  • 9 Modules
  • Access to the course for 6 months
  • 15.7 CH awarded to learners after successful completion of the course and course evaluation. This course is primarily intended to educate clinical team members who are not RNs. Non-RNs are not eligible for continuing nurse education contact hours.*
  • This program is approved for up to 15.7 hours of AEUs by BASC Provider #0102.

  • Describe the importance of following manufacturers’ instructions for use.
  • Identify the evidence-based practices to perform effective surgical hand antisepsis.
  • Describe how to gown and glove using sterile technique.
  • Identify basic types of surgical instruments.
  • Describe the various types of anesthesia care.
  • Describe the roles of perioperative team members.
  • Differentiate between the three perioperative zones.
  • Describe the basic principles of surgical draping.
  • Identify the correct techniques for creating a sterile field.
  • Identify the safety considerations and physiological effects of positioning patients.
This course provides basic education to health professionals that will enable them to observe and participate safely during invasive procedures.
