Professional Growth
As part of their AORN membership, Periop 101 learners can access valuable educational opportunities, such as the poster sessions at Expo 2024. With close to 200 posters available online, learners can explore the latest research and clinical innovations in the field.
To earn 1.0 CH per session, learners must review and evaluate at least 8 posters within that session. A total of 21 CH is available across various poster categories:
- Evidence-Based Practice
- Research
- DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)
- Clinical Improvement/Innovation
- Design/Concept
How to Access
Learners can download posters by logging into My AORN and clicking on “My Member Benefits.” The poster link can be found under the “Continuing Education” section.Course Highlight
Supplement Periop 101 with Scrub Role Training
The shortage of periop nurses and surgical technologists is affecting surgical services across the healthcare industry. Facilities are addressing staffing shortages by supplementing Periop 101 with scrub role training to quickly train and upskill new nurses to fill open roles in the OR.
