Certificate of Evidence-Based Practice

Share:

Are you consistently using the best evidence available to care for your patients? Evidence-based practice (EBP) is fundamental to quality patient care. It provides clinicians the tools needed to promote safer patient care and positive patient outcomes in all care settings.

Goal

This online learning module is designed to educate registered nurses and other interested health care professionals about EBP. Included in this learning activity is a pre-test, ten short learning segments, and a post-test. The unique step-by-step learning format will assist registered nurses in implementing evidence-based practices into the care they provide.

Objectives

  • Identify the elements of EBP.
  • Describe the categories of research evidence.
  • Describe the categories of non-research evidence.
  • Explain how to develop an EBP question.
  • List two ways to implement EBP into the perioperative practice setting.
