AORN’s Seal of Recognition Helps Guide Your Training

Share:

AORN’s Seal of Recognition program is a signal to perioperative nurses and their colleagues that the material they are looking at for training, education, and in-service programs are high-quality and consistent with the AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice.

Earning the AORN Seal of Recognition

Industry companies who choose to pursue the AORN Seal of Recognition submit their materials related to advancing perioperative practice to AORN for review. These materials can include white papers, posters for on-site safety notices, training modules, brochures and training manuals, in-service programs, instructions for use, and videos.

AORN’s clinical nurse experts review the materials carefully to verify the content conforms to evidence-based practice from the latest AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice. A successful review earns the AORN Seal of Recognition – a visual confirmation that the content has satisfied a quality review by AORN.

Why the Seal Matters

When perioperative professionals see the seal in training materials, on a poster at their facility, or on other safety materials, they can be confident that AORN has reviewed the content for quality and alignment with the Guidelines.
