Friday, April 4: Arrival and Orientation 

  • Registration & Conference Materials Pickup (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Begin your Expo experience by collecting your materials at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Early registration ensures a smooth start to the conference. 
  • First-Time Attendee Lounge (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM): If this is your inaugural AORN Expo, visit the First-Time Attendee Lounge to familiarize yourself with the event layout, meet fellow newcomers, and gain insights to maximize your conference experience. 

Saturday, April 5: Education and Celebration 

  • Concurrent Education Sessions (8:00 AM – 3:45 PM): Engage in a variety of sessions covering the latest perioperative practices and innovations. Tailor your schedule to attend topics most relevant to your professional development. 
  • Leadership Summit: Designed for current and aspiring leaders, the summit offers strategies and insights to enhance leadership skills within the perioperative environment. 
  • Welcome & Opening Keynote (4:15 PM – 5:45 PM): Kick off the conference with an inspiring keynote address from Phil Hansen, renowned multimedia artist, speaker, author, and innovator. 
  • Kick Off Party (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM): Unwind and connect with other perioperative professionals in a festive atmosphere that will help set the tone for the next few days full education and groundbreaking surgical technology.  

Sunday, April 6: Forums and Networking

  • Leadership Summit (8:00 AM – 1:15 PM)Designed for current and aspiring leaders, the summit offers strategies and insights to enhance leadership skills within the perioperative environment. 
  • Specialty Assembly Meetings (7:30 AM – 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Join sessions specific to your practice area to discuss challenges, share solutions, and network with colleagues who share your specialty interests. These meetings offer members the opportunity to interact with other nurses from across the nation who share an interest in the same specialty. 
  • First Forum (9:30 AM – 10:30 AM): Participate in open discussions on emerging issues affecting AORN members and the perioperative community. 
  • AORN Celebration & Keynote (1:30 PM – 3:45 PM): Attend the keynote address by Marisa Hamamoto, transformational movement artist, speaker, and changemaker, who will discuss how what it means to unlock infinite possibilities. 
  • Expo Hall Opening Reception (4:00 PM – 7:00 PM): Explore the latest surgical technologies and innovations while networking with exhibitors and fellow attendees in the famed Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

  • Leadership Summit (11:30 AM – 6:30 PM)Designed for current and aspiring leaders, the summit offers strategies and insights to enhance leadership skills within the perioperative environment. 
  • AORN Foundation General Session (8:00 AM – 9:00 AM): Gain insights from Shola Richards, CEO & Founder of Go Together Global®, on fostering positive workplace cultures.  
  • Expo Hall (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM): Continue exploring exhibitor offerings, attend product demonstrations, and engage with industry representatives. 
  • Student & Faculty Programs (9:15 AM – 1:30 PM): Educational sessions tailored for students and faculty to enhance learning and teaching in perioperative nursing.
  • Meet the Poster Authors - Even Numbers (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM)
  • Meet the Poster Authors - Odd Numbers (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

  • Periop Challenge (8:00 AM – 8:30 AM): Test your perioperative knowledge in this engaging and competitive event.  
  • Expo Hall (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM): Final chance to visit exhibitors and gather information on the latest industry advancements. 
  • House of Delegates & Closing Ceremony (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM): Conclude your Expo experience by participating in the official annual meeting, where members discuss and vote on association business.
