WIn the midst of the pandemic, we looked for a way to safely maximize the number of staff members who could hang out together during breaks and lunch. We found portable sneeze guards on Amazon — they cost less than $50 each and are easy to assemble — and placed them at safe distances around the table in the breakroom. Staff members sit behind the guards while maintaining social distancing and are responsible for wiping down their station after each use. The guards have made staff’s downtime feel a little more normal.
