Ideas That Work: Alternate Your Defibrillator Batteries

KEEPING A CHARGE Regular rotation of the defibrillator battery means it'll always be ready should you need it.

Here's an easy to way to ensure you always have a charged defibrillator battery. Label your 2 batteries #1 and #2. One is always in the defibrillator and the other sits on top of the cart. Every Monday, we alternate the batteries, documenting on our daily crash cart log sheet which one is in the defibrillator while we let the resting one drain its charge (biomed says that's the best practice to extend the life of batteries).
