Share This Trick With Patients To Wash Bacitracin Out of Hair
When I perform facelifts, scalp lesion excisions and endoscopic brow lifts, I prevent skin infections by treating the wounds in the patient's scalp with Bacitracin antibiotic ointment. Trouble is, Bacitracin gets in the hair and is very difficult to get out. The secret is to have patients wash their hair with conditioner first, and then shampoo. Conditioner dissolves the Bacitracin, and the shampoo then washes it away.
