Next Gen Power Tools for Small Bone Procedures

DePuy Synthes, the orthopedic company of Johnson and Johnson, launched the UNIUM System as the newest addition to its power tools portfolio for use across small bone, sports medicine and spine procedures. The system is comprised of two handpieces — a modular device and a dedicated reciprocating saw — along with several attachments and cutting tools. Both handpieces are driven by a high-capacity lithium-ion battery and electronic control unit, eliminating the need to perform intraoperative battery changes. The UNIUM System, which was designed to maximize surgical precision and surgeon comfort, is lighter, smaller and more powerful than previous generations.
