Reach Out to Your Peers

Share:

You met a really nice person at a spring conference who had similar challenges, and you promised to keep in touch but didn’t. Now the summer is almost gone. Sound familiar? That conversation and genuine connection may have inspired you when you returned to the job, but you may lose this connection if you don’t reach out. Peer-to-peer connections are vital for any leader to nurture, as those who authentically and regularly network can attest. It may help solve just one problem or offer encouragement. No matter what, genuine connections are hard to come by, so once you make them don’t let them falter. Other face-to-face opportunities will arise but don’t forget about people you met along the way and keep in touch.

A great leader does not let peer-to-peer relationships lapse.
