Expo 2022 Party

Be it parties, music, or food, New Orleans is never short on enjoyment. In fact, the French word for many or much – beaucoup – has been used by locals to describe the culture and feeling of the Crescent City.

Pronounced “boo-coo,” it became the perfect theme for the opening night party for Global Surgical Conference & Expo 2022 – the AORN NOLA Beaucoup Kick Off Party.

For what promises to be a night of laughter, music, and food, you can join the Beaucoup Kick Off Party starting at 5:45pm in the Convention Center Pedestrian Park – just steps from the General Session room.

It’s the first time many attendees will see friends, both new and old, since the last in-person AORN Expo three years ago.

“We are all so grateful to be able to connect again. You can really feel the energy and anticipation for the coming week,” says current AORN President Holly Ervine. “We are live and in-person here in New Orleans - and we are ready to celebrate our wonderful profession, and every one of you!”

At the party, you’ll be able to “tour” some of the famous areas of New Orleans – from the French Quarter to the Garden District and everywhere in-between – without ever leaving the convention center grounds. Local cuisine will be available to sample, and a complimentary drink ticket for the event can be found in your attendee bag.

That would be a regular opening party. But to bring this to beaucoup level, the Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band will be bringing the entertainment. Formed in 1983, the “RBB” as are a staple of the New Orleans jazz and funk scene. They have been featured on the HBO series “Treme,” and even have a beer named after them from NOLA Brewing Company called Rebirth Pale Ale.

It promises to be an evening of beaucoup memories and wonderful start to the long-awaited AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo.
