General Questions

How do I login to AORN.org? 

  1. Select the Log In link located in the upper right portion of the AORN website.
  2. Enter your email address and password (default is your ID number). If you changed or self-selected your password, please use the password that you designated.
  3. Click the Login button.

How do I renew my membership online? 

Visit our Join/Renew page to renew your membership online.

From there, select Renew and follow the instructions by filling out or updating your membership information.

Before you begin the online process, be sure to have one of the following major credit cards: Discover, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express.

Where do I get information about CNOR? 

AORN does not administer the CNOR exam. The Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) administers the exam. Please visit their website at www.cc-institute.org or call 1-888-257-2667 for the latest information regarding the exam, registration, and test dates, as well as resources for your success.

AORN offers the online Preparing for the CNOR Exam course as a review. For additional resources to study from please visit CCI's website at www.cc-institute.org.

How can I speak with an RN? 

As a member benefit, AORN nurse consultants are available to answer clinical questions. Non-members may talk to the nurse consultants by paying a fee of $120.00. How do I submit a poster for AORN Conference? 

Visit the Call for Posters/Abstracts page for instructions on submitting posters. If you have questions, contact Sue Hardin at shardin@aorn.org or (303) 755-6304, ext. 320 with questions about Conference and Pre-Conference submissions. Contact Beth Gabrysiak at bgabrysiak@aorn.org or (303) 755-6304, ext. 233 with questions about other face-to-face events.

How do I submit an education proposal for AORN Conference or other AORN face-to-face events? 

Sessions held at different events have varying requirements and vary in length, but most concurrent sessions are 90 minutes in length. You may submit for one or more conferences and/or categories, but if you have a submission for a 90-minute session and a similar proposal for a half- or full-day session, we suggest you submit them separately.

  • We will consider two-part presentations when noted as such.
  • Pre-Conference Intensive Workshops range in length from a half-day to two and one-half days.
  • Proposals submitted for presentation may also be submitted as poster displays.
  • Standard audio/visual equipment will be supplied for each presentation. Additional AV requests cannot be granted.
  • Conference presentations are professionally recorded and will be made available for sale with the PowerPoint.

How do I receive contact hours? 

Contact hours are processed once you have evaluated the sessions you attended. Once you have successfully logged into the website:

  • Select Education from the website's top navigation.
  • Select Manage your Education from the left navigation.
  • Select the "submit education session evaluations" link on the web page.
  • Select the session name from the drop-down list.

How do I print Certificates of Attendance/Continuing Education Contact Hour History? 

  1. Select Education from the website's top navigation.
  2. Select Manage Your Education from the left navigation.
  3. Log in to the site by entering your e-mail address and ID number (default). If you changed or self-selected your password, please use the password that you designated.
  4. In the Contact Hours section, select View Your Contact History Now.
  5. Use the Continuing Education Contact Hour History to print out a list of your AORN contact hours, or reprint your certificates. Simply select the desired course(s), then select Print Certificate or Print List to view the information. You can also reduce the size of the list by entering a date range and clicking Apply Filter.

How do I evaluate events/sessions?

How do I return a book I ordered? 

Books may be returned within 45 days of purchase, provided they are in clean, resalable condition. Upon receipt of your return, we will issue a refund of your purchase price and applicable taxes.

Videos, CD-ROMs, brochures and sale items are not returnable unless the merchandise was incorrect or damaged. Returns should be sent, along with the return form included in your package, to:

How can my facility place an online book order? 

  1. Facilities may place book orders online by using Purchase Orders (P.O.'s have to be $100.00 or more).
  2. You may call Customer Service for your unique login name and passcode and a representative will walk you through the initial process.
  3. Once receiving your login name and passcode you may visit www.aornbookstore.org and select the member login from the left navigation bar and enter the login name and password for your facility.
  4. You will then be directed back to the bookstore homepage where you can start searching for books and adding them to your cart. You can search for books by title (keyword), ISBN, or author name.
  5. Once you have added all books to your cart select Order Now to be taken to the Payment Method screen.
  6. On the Payment Method screen you will enter your purchase order number and the name of the person placing the order, or select Credit Card to pay for your order upon checkout.
  7. Fill out the correct shipping information, provide a valid email address for emailed confirmation of your order, and select Continue to place your order.
  8. Your order shall arrive within the next 5 to 10 Days unless a faster delivery option is selected.
  9. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-755-2676 with any questions.
