Lobby Day Resources
What is a Lobby Day?
A Lobby Day is a day for individuals to collectively make an organization's views known to their legislators. Nursing and perioperative nursing lobby days are usually organized by state nurses associations and/or AORN state coordinators and state councils.
Why Lobby Day?
Elected officials respond to mass numbers. When a group of people from a representative's district requests a meeting, the official will want to know that group's views. Personal meetings are one of the most effective ways of letting your representatives know AORN's and nursing's views on patient safety issues.
